PKB is fully-owned by Compagnie de l’Occident pour la Finance et l’Industrie SA (COFI), a company incorporated in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and listed on the local stock exchange, through Coparfin SA, a subsidiary regrouping COFI’s banking interests.
In addition to PKB, COFI also controls Cassa Lombarda Spa, Milano, a bank founded in 1923 specialized in private banking and asset management for “onshore” clients.
PKB holds a number of important shareholdings in companies active in private banking, such as Cassa Lombarda Spa and Rasini & C. SA (Lugano). It is also shareholder of EIH Endurance Investments Holding SA, a Swiss holding company that controls the entire share capital of Rasini & C. Ltd. (London) and of Rasini & C. Inc. (New York), companies specialized in hedge fund selection and advisory services to funds of hedge funds. In the asset management filed, noteworthy is PKB's significant participation in Anthilia Capital Partners SGR Spa (Milano).
In 2004, PKB acquired and absorbed Banca Monte Paschi (Suisse) SA.
